Local TLBR Rules and Changes

UpdatedThursday November 26, 2015 byAndrew Brady.

  •  If a runner attempting to reach home plate or another base intentionally and maliciously runs into a defensive player in the area of home plate or a base, he will be called out and ejected from the game.
  • Anyone (adult or youth) warming up a pitcher at any location shall wear a mask. A throat protector is considered part of the catcher’s mask.
  • Catchers in all games must now wear what is commonly referred to as the "hockey style" mask, as TLBR requires the catcher's head protector to comply with Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) rules. The helmet must cover the ears with an attached face mask. TLBR recommends helmets that meet or exceed standards established by the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE). Skulls and other types of headgear and masks will not allowed.
  •  If any bat in Babe Ruth Baseball cannot be clearly identified for its make and model to determine the barrel composition, then the bat should be removed from the game. See Bat Information below.
