Eagles - Tanner Collins

As an alumnus of the Tallahassee Babe Ruth baseball league, Tanner Collins played college baseball for South Georgia College.

In addition to several travel baseball teams, Collins has coached at Holy Comforter and North Florida Christian in Tallahassee. At NFC, Tanner was the head JV coach for two years and Assistant Varsity coach on a state championship team.

Coach Collins enters his 5th year of coaching Tallahassee Babe Ruth teams. In 2014, he was the head coach of the 15-year-old all-star team who won the state tournament and played in the regional tournament in North Carolina.

Coach Collins believes that “Babe Ruth League in Tallahassee has done an excellent job of assimilating competition on the field while including the high school programs in the area. I believe this to be one of the great successes of this league. Being able to reach out to these young men at such a critical time in their life is why I coach these kids. I want to make a positive influence on them as many of my coaches did for me . . . including those with Tallahassee Babe Ruth.”
